Birmingham Wildlife Conservation Park

If you find yourself in the Birmingham / Edgbaston area this little park is a must do, especially if you have little ones who love animals. It is great value for money at £6.50 per adult, £5.00 for senior citizens, £3.30 for children 3-15 and free for under 3s, with free car parking which is always an added bonus.

Hidden in the streets of Edgbaston, near the Botanical Gardens, is a little wildlife conservation park, which is home to a few fan favourites in the zoological world. The park does not boast a huge amount of animals but the enclosures seem spacious and well thought out.

A particular highlight for me was the Red Panda enclosure, it was great to see the Pandas so active and out in the open, it was clear to see this was a crowd favourite by the amount of people taking photos of them.

This really is a great find for an afternoon out, especially if you were to take a picnic to eat at one of the many benches. It does make you feel as if your out in the wild, when your minutes from the city centre. The site has a good sized play area for the little ones to enjoy too if they want to “monkey around.”
